Wang Huiyuan


  Wang Huiyuan is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the field of Materials Processing Engineering, currently serving as the Dean of the School. He is a Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor appointed by the Ministry of Education, a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund, a Senior Expert of Jilin Province, and a member of the editorial boards of JMST and JMA, among other honors. For many years, he has been engaged in teaching and research in materials processing, focusing on advanced light-alloy design, microstructure control, strengthening and toughening, and mechanical properties. He has achieved numerous breakthroughs in the design of novel high-performance magnesium alloys and in their short-process fabrication. He has led major and key projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, projects under the National Key R&D Program, and projects under the National 863 Program, among others. To date, he has published more than 150 SCI-indexed papers, which have been cited over 2,900 times; he has also received the First Prize for Technological Invention and the First Prize for Natural Sciences from Jilin Province, the Second Prize for National Technological Invention, and the China Patent Excellence Award, among other prestigious awards.
