New General-Purpose Magnesium Welding Wire for Multiple Alloy Grades
Magnesium alloy welding wire is used for welding various wrought and cast magnesium alloys. Common grades include AZ31, AZ61, and AZ91D, and it is widely employed in applications such as outdoor equipment, automotive components, bicycles, and aerospace.
Currently, magnesium welding presents stringent requirements: conventional magnesium alloy welding wires must be identical to the base metal. The company’s newly developed universal magnesium welding wire boasts excellent weld performance and broad applicability, enabling compatible welding of different grades of magnesium alloys as well as cast and extruded profiles (including tubes). This technology sets a pioneering precedent both domestically and internationally; it not only delivers superior weld quality but also exhibits outstanding compatibility, a small heat-affected zone, and excellent fluidity, thereby providing a reliable guarantee for high-quality magnesium alloy welding.
· The commercial grade MM31 is suitable for welding materials in the AZ31, AZ50, AZ61, and other series.
· The enterprise-grade alloy MM51 is suitable for welding materials in the AZ50, AZ80, AZ91, and other grades.
