Lightweight Design—Magnesium Alloy Pallet Debuts at the China International Pallet Conference
The 18th China Pallet International Conference and the 2023 Global Pallet Entrepreneurs Annual Meeting, hosted by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, was grandly held in Xi’an.

The magnesium-alloy self-disassembling logistics pallet developed by the company has currently been the subject of seven patent applications for invention and utility models. During the manufacturing process, technical challenges such as “unstable wire feed, unstable arc, and excessive spatter” in robotic welding were successfully addressed, and a series of tests—including load-bearing and drop-resistance tests—were conducted, ultimately meeting both national standards and customer requirements.
According to the Pallet Professional Committee of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, pallet recycling and maintenance represent a major bottleneck hindering the development of the logistics industry. Currently, most pallets in use domestically are made of wood; while inexpensive, they have a short service life, offer no recycling value, require fumigation, and lead to wasteful consumption of timber resources. Consequently, there is a growing need to gradually replace wooden pallets with alternatives, primarily aluminum and plastic pallets. The MM-series magnesium-alloy logistics pallets developed by Mingmei Technology boast numerous manufacturing, operational, and recycling advantages: lightweight design; easy weldability with excellent resistance to cracking; simple installation; superior oxidation resistance and thermal stability following surface treatment; smooth, insect-resistant, mold-resistant, moisture- and water-proof surfaces; dimensional stability; excellent shock absorption and rebound performance; ease of cleaning and maintenance; recyclability; extended service life; high residual value upon disposal; and outstanding cost-effectiveness. These features make the MM series an environmentally friendly, sustainable product that aligns with the principles of green manufacturing and green consumption.

Magnesium Alloy “Chuan”-Shaped Tray
Tray welding utilizes MM universal welding wire, resulting in a small heat-affected zone, excellent weld quality, and high fracture resistance. Customized trays with special alloy compositions can be tailored to meet specific customer requirements.
Product Advantages: Lightweight, high specific strength and specific stiffness, excellent vibration damping and thermal conductivity, and superior electromagnetic shielding.
① Employ optimized design based on mechanical performance
② Internal positioning chip location
③ Nylon sealing on both sides
④ Full coverage with a rubber strip at the bottom
⑤ Multiple patent protections, including the lowest thermal shrinkage effect in fully automatic welding
⑥ Environmentally friendly and recyclable

Magnesium alloy logistics pallets have a wide range of applications, primarily in the mass production and transportation of bagged fertilizers, sugar, flour, cement, soda ash, resins, PVC, additives, chemicals, chemical products, and food raw materials for processing and manufacturing.
With the rise of globalization and e-commerce driving year-on-year growth in logistics demand, the pallet industry is undergoing a transformation from traditional wooden pallets to new-generation pallets made of plastic, metal, and other materials. Fueled by the continued expansion of the logistics sector, technological innovation and product upgrades, and the growing trend toward sustainability, the pallet industry is poised to seize new opportunities for development.
